What Customers Say About AudioSource AMP-100 2-Channel Bridgeable Stereo Power Amplifier:

I also utilized the amp-100 to pike music from my computer, again with great sound quality. Excellent value for the cost: I use this Amp-100- 2 channel Bridgeable stereo power amp, with a pre amp. Speakers where easy to attach, and the sound quality was good.

So I saw that this unit had not only an ability to power additional speakers but also an ability to do so in such a way that I could use this unit as an input to the Kenwood receiver. I have a 20 year old Kenwood receiver that only has inputs for two pairs of speakers. This works exactly as I expected and I love having this product. I simply wired the new speakers to the new AudioSource AMP-100 and used a basic RCA cable to connect the output line of the AMP to the Phono input of the receiver and presto it all works like a charm. However, I wanted to hook up not only one pair of indoor speakers and one pair of outdoor speakers (patio) but also a new pair of outdoor speakers for a screened-in porch. As well I wanted to be able to use a single hook up to play my iPod on all sets of speakers.

I highly recommend this for people who install and strike their equipment regularly. This was a perfect addition to my slowly growing collection of modular audio system equipment. It's compact, simple, powerful, and fits in with the rest of my equipment.

My only complaint is the speaker selection buttons on the front. Nice, but what if you want both sets of remote speakers on at the same time.

Probably a picky point, but it's annoying. Well, both remote speakers can be on at the same time when both buttons are pushed in simultaneously, but then you have to jiggle them all over the place to get the buttons to pop back out and turn the speakers off again.

I needed something to allow me to use speakers both outdoors and in another room, and this little unit filled the bill perfectly. They seem to be set up so that when one set of remote speakers is turned on, the other automatically turns off (i.e., when you push the A button, the B button automatically pops back out turning the B speakers off, and vice versa).

If not for this, I'd give it 5 stars instead of 4. It's simple, direct, and does the job.

They're really sticky.

The input is coming from a 37" Samsung LCD TV and a Motorola HDTV Cable/DVR box. The AudioSource AMP-100 Stereo Power Amplifier does its job as advertised. The AMP-100 has more than enough power to provide clean, floor-thumping audio for our family room, which measures about 22' x 12.' If you're looking for a no-frills amplifier that gets the job done without unnecessary bells and whistles, the AudioSource AMP-100 should perform nicely for you. If you use the Line 2 amplifier connection, you should have no problems at all with audio cutting in and out. Set-up is easy and the unit keeps a low profile on the upper shelf of a bookcase in our family room. We're using the AMP-100 to feed two Bose bookshelf speakers and a Dayton Audio 8" sub-woofer.
